SWS Board Member On the Public Lands Debate

The National Wilderness Preservation System is the kingpin of public lands, crossing boundaries between federal land management agencies, state lines, and ecosystem types.  Amidst ongoing debate in the west about whether public lands should be managed by state or federal authorities, wilderness management hangs in the balance.  Recently, SWS board member Linda Merigliano spoke with Outdoor Alliance about the implications of putting federal lands in state hands.  Read the Outdoor Alliance article here.
