As we look towards the future, increasing professionalism will be needed to fulfill the Wilderness Act’s mandate to preserve wilderness character and address the complexity of issues surrounding wilderness stewardship. But what does it mean to be a professional in wilderness stewardship, what is necessary to foster and support professionalism, and what are the various roles available in this field?
We are creating a professional community of practice - where everybody will come together to share ideas, to create a connected voice and to develop a cohesion between folks involved at all levels of wilderness stewardship.
